Slope Position applies a vertical offset that increases with terrain steepness. On flat ground the offset is zero. As the slope angle approaches the Max Slope value, the full Position Offset Y is applied. This helps objects look naturally embedded in steep terrain rather than floating above it.

Settings

  • Max Slope — the slope angle (in degrees) at which the maximum position offset is reached. Steeper slopes produce a larger offset; flatter slopes produce less. Range: 20–90. Default is 90.
  • Position Offset Y — the vertical offset (in world units) applied at maximum slope. Use a negative value to push objects downward into the terrain. Default is -1.
Combine with Align to both tilt and sink objects on slopes for the most natural-looking terrain placement.
