Scale Fitness adjusts the object’s scale based on how well the placement conditions are met (the fitness value). When fitness is perfect (1.0), no scale change is applied. When fitness is low (0.0), the full offset is added to the scale — typically making the object smaller or larger depending on your setting.

Settings

  • Offset Scale — the scale offset applied when fitness is at zero. A negative value (e.g. -0.7) shrinks the object at low fitness. A positive value would enlarge it. The effect interpolates linearly: at fitness 0 the full offset is applied; at fitness 1 no offset is applied. Default is -0.7.
Fitness is a value between 0 and 1 determined by spawn filters like slope, texture mask, or other viability rules. A fitness of 1 means the location is ideal; 0 means it barely qualifies.
Use a negative Offset Scale to make objects on marginal terrain appear smaller and less prominent, reinforcing the idea that conditions there are less favorable.
