Tree Rotation is designed specifically for trees and tall upright objects. It primarily randomizes rotation around the Y axis (spin) to give each tree a unique facing direction, while keeping the tree mostly vertical. Optionally, a small percentage of trees will also receive a slight X/Z tilt for added natural variation.

Settings

  • Randomize Orientation Y — how much random spin is applied around the vertical axis. Range: 0–100, where 100 = full 360° random rotation. Default is 100.
  • Randomize Orientation XZ — how much tilt is applied to X and Z axes when a tree is selected for full rotation. Range: 0–50. Default is 3.
  • Success Randomize Orientation XZ — the probability (0–100) that a given tree will receive the full 3D tilt in addition to the Y rotation. At 0, all trees stay perfectly upright. At 100, all trees tilt. Default is 20.
At the default settings, 80% of trees only spin (Y-axis), and 20% also receive a small lean (X/Z-axis). This mimics how real trees are mostly upright but occasionally lean slightly.
