Slope Filter restricts spawning to surfaces within a specific angle range. A slope of is flat ground; 90° is a vertical cliff face. The edges of the range can be softened with a falloff gradient.

Settings

  • Blend Mode — how this filter combines with the previous mask in the stack. Multiply narrows the spawn area; Add expands it.
  • Min Slope / Max Slope — the slope angle range (in degrees, 0–90) within which spawning is allowed. Default is 0–20°.
  • Slope Falloff Type — controls how the edges of the range blend to zero:
    • Add — adds a fixed angular distance on each side of the range. The larger the value, the wider the gradient.
    • Hard — sharp cutoff at the min and max slope angles.
  • Slope Falloff Min Max — when enabled, set separate falloff distances for the lower and upper edges. When disabled, a single value applies to both. Default is enabled.
  • Min Add Slope Falloff — falloff applied below Min Slope (when Slope Falloff Min Max is on). Default is 30.
  • Max Add Slope Falloff — falloff applied above Max Slope (when Slope Falloff Min Max is on). Default is 30.
  • Add Slope Falloff — unified falloff for both edges (when Slope Falloff Min Max is off). Default is 30.
To spawn objects only on flat ground, use Min Slope 0 and Max Slope 20–30. To spawn only on cliffs, use Min Slope 60–70 and Max Slope 90.
