The Edit tool lets you select individual placed objects in the scene view and modify them one at a time. You choose an action — move, rotate, scale, raycast, or remove — then click a handle button that appears over each nearby eligible object. Use Edit when you need to correct or adjust specific objects after a brush or stamper pass.

Step 1 — Open the MegaWorld Window and select Edit

Press Alt + Z to open the MegaWorld Window. In the Tools Panel, click the + button and choose Edit.

Step 2 — Select which prototypes Edit can interact with

In the Selection Panel, choose the Groups and prototypes you want Edit to target. Edit only shows handle buttons for objects that belong to the currently selected prototypes.

Step 3 — Choose an action

In the Settings Panel, click the action tab you want to use, or press its shortcut key:
ActionShortcutWhat it does
Move Up/DownQMoves the object along the world Y axis
RaycastWMoves the object onto the surface under the cursor
RotateERotates the object around its Y axis
ScaleRScales the object uniformly
RemoveTDeletes the object from the scene
Press Space to toggle between global and local transform space (affects Rotate).

Step 4 — Click objects in the scene view

Move the cursor over the scene. A handle button appears at every eligible object’s position within range of the cursor. Click a button to apply the active action to that object.
  • For Move Up/Down, Rotate, and Scale: after clicking, keep the mouse button held and drag horizontally to apply the change. Release to confirm.
  • For Raycast: click the handle button to snap the object to the surface under the cursor.
  • For Remove: click the handle button to delete the object immediately.
Each action supports undo.
