Poisson Disc creates a more even natural distribution by enforcing a minimum spacing between samples. This is often a strong choice for vegetation, props, or any placement where you want a natural spread without obvious grids.

Setting

  • Poisson Disc Size controls the minimum spacing between samples.

When to use Poisson Disc

Poisson Disc is best when you want:
  • even spacing without visible grid lines;
  • natural-looking object spread;
  • fewer clumps and fewer accidental near-overlaps at the sample stage.

Notes

  • Poisson Disc is usually more controlled than Random Point.
  • If you want hard structure, use Random Grid instead.
  • If you want even spacing but still some variation, Poisson Disc is often the best starting point.
