Noise Filter introduces fractal noise into the mask, creating natural-looking random variation across the spawn area. It is useful for breaking up overly regular placement — for example, making vegetation appear in organic clusters rather than evenly distributed.

Settings

  • Blend Mode — how this filter combines with the previous mask in the stack. Multiply narrows the spawn area; Add expands it.
  • Noise Settings — configures the noise generation:
    • Noise Type — the noise algorithm: Perlin, Value, Billow, Ridge, or Voronoi.
    • Fractal Type — the fractal layering method (e.g. FBm — Fractional Brownian Motion).
    • Scale — the size of the noise pattern. Larger values create bigger, more spread-out features.
    • Translation — offsets the noise pattern in X, Y, Z world space.
    • Rotation — rotates the noise pattern.
    • Flip Scale X/Y/Z — mirrors the noise pattern along the chosen axis.
