The Sectors tab shows generated terrain sector scenes. A sector is an additive scene with bounds. Sectorize stores terrain sectors in the Terrain sector layer and streams them around active cameras.

No sectors found

When no sectors exist, Sectorize shows No Sectors found. If Unity Terrains are found in the scene, Sectorize also shows:
  • Terrains found in scene: N
  • Create Sectors
Click Create Sectors to generate sector scenes from terrain tiles.

Create Sectors

Create Sectors does two things:
  • registers already opened additive scenes with terrain as sectors;
  • creates new additive scenes for terrain objects in the active scene.
The active scene is marked as a parent scene. Generated terrain scenes are marked as subscenes.

Delete Sectors

Delete Sectors deletes generated additive scenes and brings terrains back into the active scene.
Delete Sectors is destructive. Sectorize shows a confirmation dialog because this deletes scenes and moves terrain objects back into the active scene.

Manual scene control

Manual scene control is available from the Sectorize context menu:
Enable Manual Scene Control
When enabled in Edit Mode, automatic streaming stops. The Sectors tab shows:
  • Load All Scenes
  • Unload All Scenes
Use manual scene control when you want to inspect, edit, or debug sector scenes without Sectorize loading and unloading them automatically.

Sector list

The bottom of the Sectors tab lists sector scene names. Use this list to verify that terrain tiles were converted into the expected additive scenes.
